We're looking for a WordPress developer to join Purnavix in Lucknow and build, customize, and maintain WordPress sites for client projects — from theme and plugin work to day-to-day debugging and performance fixes.
Responsibilities
- Build and customize WordPress websites and themes for client projects.
- Integrate and customize plugins to match project requirements.
- Work with Elementor and modern WordPress page-building workflows.
- Implement responsive, pixel-accurate frontends from design files.
- Optimize page speed and general site performance.
- Apply basic technical SEO practices during development.
- Debug and maintain existing WordPress sites in production.
- Connect WordPress to third-party APIs where a project needs it.
- Write clean, maintainable PHP and front-end code.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional WordPress development experience.
- Strong grasp of WordPress fundamentals — themes, plugins, the loop, hooks.
- Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of PHP.
- Comfortable customizing and troubleshooting third-party themes and plugins.
- Understanding of responsive design across devices.
- Able to debug real production issues, not just build from scratch.
- Good communication and a willingness to learn.
